Mezzo-Soprano Erika Vasallo will be singing as the Alto Soloist and will also sing in the chorus in Rossini’s Stabat Mater. Admission is free, come and enjoy Rossini’s beautifully-written Stabat Mater on May 22nd/23rd. There will be a livestream of the concert, which will be posted on this event soon.

Rossini brought the same emotional intensity to the Stabat Mater that he brought to his operas. After the premiere in 1842, the Stabat Mater was performed no less than twenty-nine times in its first year, a magnificent success.
